In March 2017, SDI collaborated with the Ikono Local Government Council, led by Hon. Itoro P. Columba, to organise empowerment training programmes for young men and women across various fields.
Over 488 participants completed the training and were presented, alongside their starter packs, to Her Excellency Dr. (Mrs.) Martha Udom Emmanuel, Founder of the Family Empowerment and Youth Re-orientation Path Initiative (FEYReP).
Hon. Columba described the initiative as central to his administration's commitment to building the capacity of Ikono residents and making them self-reliant creators of wealth.
